¿What is the Board of Directors?
The TCS Board of Directors is the main body in charge of defining the strategic direction of the School. Their responsibility is to ensure that the mission and objectives of TCS are met with the highest standards of quality and excellence. At TCS we lead with a commitment to serve!
Functions of the Board of Directors
Although its functions are described in more detail in the TCS bylaws, and in the regulations of the Board, their main functions are:
- Define and monitor the strategy
- Make strategic decisions.
- Ensure the sustainability of the School in the short, medium, and long term.
- Carry out risk management.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate its own performance and that of the Head of School.
How the Board of Directors is made up
Our Board of Directors is made up of seven members, four of whom are parents of students at the school, and three are external to the institution. They are democratically elected by the General Assembly, which consists of all parents with children enrolled in the school who are in good standing with all financial obligations.
Board members are elected for a two-year term and may be re-elected, provided they adhere to the limits established in the bylaws.
